What Participation Looks Like
This study is primarily virtual and home-based with little to no need for additional clinic visits. Participation is designed to feel manageable and provide support alongside the care of your oncology team.
Participation may include:
- Resistance exercise training plans tailored to your needs
- Diet and nutrition guidance, with a focus on protein intake
- Regular check-ins with your trainer, dietitian, and research team
Participants may also receive:
- Activity-tracking technology
- Exercise equipment and resources to support physical activity at home
- Nutrition resources, such as a protein supplement and blender bottle
Who Can Take Part
You may be eligible for the THRIVE-65 study if you meet the following criteria:
- Are 65 or older
- Plan to begin (or have recently started) chemotherapy for breast cancer
- Can walk unassisted
- Meet the study’s medical guidelines
Participation is entirely voluntary. Outcomes are not guaranteed.
