Adaptive Randomization of Aerobic Exercise During Chemotherapy in Colon Cancer

What Participation Looks Like

This study is primarily virtual and home-based with little to no need for additional clinic visits. Participation is designed to feel manageable and provide support alongside the care of your oncology team.

Participation may include:

  • A physical activity program tailored to your needs by a certified cancer exercise trainer.
  • Regular check-ins with your trainer and research team.

Participants may also receive:

  • An in-home treadmill (to keep after study completion).
  • At-home assessments to measure heart health and body composition, including fat, muscle, and bone mass.

Who Can Take Part

You may be eligible for the ACTION study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Are 18 or older
  • Have completed surgery for colon cancer
  • Plan to begin (or have recently started) chemotherapy for colon cancer
  • Can walk unassisted
  • Meet the study’s medical guidelines

Participation is entirely voluntary. Outcomes are not guaranteed.
